The Samsung 55Q8FAAU is a 2025 mid-to-premium QLED 4K Smart TV in Samsung’s Q8F series. It sits above entry-level Crystal UHD TVs like the U8000FU and also slightly above lower QLED models like the Q7 series, offering a noticeable boost in brightness, colour accuracy, and smart AI processing. It is designed for users who want a more cinematic and premium viewing experience without moving into expensive Neo QLED or OLED territory.

 Display & Picture Quality

This TV uses a 55-inch 4K QLED (Quantum Dot) panel, delivering 100% colour volume, which means it can display very rich and accurate colours even at high brightness levels. This makes it especially strong for bright rooms, where standard LED TVs often look washed out.

It is powered by the Q4 AI Processor, which improves image clarity, reduces noise, and upscales lower-resolution content (HD or Full HD) to near-4K quality. This results in sharper textures and better detail in everyday content like TV channels, YouTube, and streaming apps.

The TV supports Quantum HDR+ (HDR10+, HLG), which improves contrast and dynamic range. Bright highlights (like sunlight or explosions) look more realistic, while dark scenes gain better shadow detail. However, like most edge-lit QLEDs, it still does not reach OLED-level blacks or deep contrast.
